Getting the basics right in 4 colour
At Fujifilm we’re great believers in the added value of speciality toners – whether for embellishments for adding value or for boosting the pantone range a press can reach. Additional colour channels though, count for little if the device isn’t first hitting exceptionally high standards in CMYK-only printing.
Fujifilm has always been committed to quality, and whether printing in four, five or six colours, Fujifilm print-on-demand (POD) presses can always be relied on to exceed industry benchmark quality standards. In our new mid-range Revoria EC2100 and SC285 presses, over 200 patented Fujifilm technologies combine to deliver exceptional quality even in CMYK. These technologies include Fujifilm’s low temperature fusing Super EA-Eco toner, with the smallest particle size in the industry, 10-bit colour depth and 2400 dpi LED printheads. Put together, these technologies deliver exceptional quality print, fine detail and vibrant colours.
And of course, productivity is also key. These new presses offer benchmark, high-speed printing up to 100 A4 ppm, reliable paper handling, and efficient workflows to keep things moving in busy print environments. They’re also incredibly versatile, supporting a wide range of media, from heavy stocks to speciality substrates, so printers can really expand their creative possibilities. And importantly, we’ve prioritised sustainability with reduced power consumption, efficient operation, and recyclable prints.
But for those who want even more, there is more. And we’re calling it ‘5UPER COLOUR’.

Laying down a marker in 6 colour
When it comes to additional colour channels, Fujifilm had already laid down a marker with its flagship POD press – the Revoria Press PC1120. Introduced to the European market in 2021, the Revoria PC1120 features six colour channels and a choice of six speciality toners to use in conjunction with CMYK. With more than 200 units installed across Europe to date, this press is now helping many European print businesses add value for their customers, either through embellishments, or by extending the colour gamut available. But, for all its success in a very short space of time, there are many print businesses for whom a press like the Revoria PC1120 is out of reach.
Having shown what it was possible to achieve with additional colours, Fujifilm’s next challenge was to bring the power of that possibility to a much larger audience. In our new mid-range models, this is exactly what we’ve done. We’ve brought the added value of speciality colours into the mainstream.

Looking ahead, in 5 colour
The new Fujifilm Revoria EC2100S and SC285S presses feature three interchangeable special toners as the fifth colour: pink, clear and toner for textured paper (with the availability of gold, silver, and white coming later).
These new presses, exclusively available from Fujifilm, make 5-colour printing available at an entirely new level of accessibility. There are very few comparable 5-colour presses on the market, and none that can match the price / performance of these presses, their compact machine footprint, or their productivity and versatility.
Unlike some other models, where the black toner has to be swapped out for a special colour whenever it is required, the Revoria EC2100S and SC285S presses allow special colours to be combined with CMYK without the need for them to be printed as an underlay. No time-consuming toner position movement is required, and no unnecessary toner waste, as 5-colour printing in one pass is made easy. Changing out one speciality toner for another, meanwhile, is an easy 5-10 minute process.

5UPER COLOUR Speciality toners
The power of PINK
It’s not all about embellishment. When talk turns to special colours – most will immediately think of metallics or varnishes to add a level of luxury to printed products. But, as important as embellishments are, one of the major benefits of a fifth colour (and one that can go somewhat overlooked) is that it can allow you to achieve pantone reach that would be impossible with CMYK toners alone.
Many Fujifilm Revoria PC1120 customers originally invested in the press primarily to gain access to the metallic and varnish special effects and finishes. However, they often soon found that the primary benefit was the massive increase in colours achievable through the use of Fujifilm’s pink toner. In addition to brighter, more vibrant pinks and smoother, less grainy skin tones, Fujifilm’s pink toner also massively increases the colour gamut that can be achieved in the purple, orange and yellow shades.
A touch of luxury, or added security: the solution is CLEAR
Fujifilm’s transparent toner brightens any area of a document, large or small, and can add a real feel of luxury. Spot coating or creating gloss textures can be achieved simply by adding an additional layer in the print file indicating what needs to be enhanced in the image. Clear toner can also be combined with CMYK toner, creating multiple different gloss effects.
Clear toner is also invaluable in security applications, to add watermarks or background designs that cannot be reproduced by photocopying or scanning. Where required, up to seven layers of clear toner can be applied by printing multiple passes to give more intensity or a sense of volume.
Embossed and textured papers
Printing on embossed and textured papers can be very challenging, so Fujifilm has a special toner for that as well. The machines perform very well on textured stock without the special toner, but adding it makes the Revoria EC2100S and SC285S amongst the very best printers on the market for printing onto textured and embossed paper.
Two new, mid-range presses that combine a fifth colour with outstanding performance to help you stand out in an increasingly demanding market.
5UPER COLOUR, by Fujifilm
5 colour digital printing can now be very much part of the mainstream, and that’s what our 5UPER COLOUR concept is all about. It’s about delivering a new benchmark in print quality and versatility; it’s about the power of Fujifilm toner technologies to provide new colours, effects and embellishments to deliver new, higher value, applications; and it’s about bringing all those benefits to a much bigger market than ever before.
A class of printing that, even comparatively recently, was seen as a luxury, a nice-to-have, or beyond reach, will quickly become the new norm. These new models are designed to maximise accessibility as well as performance – making them an ideal investment for print businesses looking to future proof for the long term. The Revoria EC2100 and SC285 CMYK models are fully upgradable in the field, meaning that businesses have the option of investing in an exceptional 4 colour device initially and then adding a fifth channel when required.
Fujifilm has an incredibly long and proud history of innovation and we’re proud to be continuing that tradition, driving our industry forward. 5UPER COLOUR from Fujifilm: extra colours and applications that make the extraordinary ordinary.
